Mutate (Bordicott) continues the Interstitial series of releases with a live recording and rehearsal from 2013.
The set was performed for Max (Pram) Simpson's Interzone night, and the preceding rehearsal is included as an example of how improvised music is constantly changing. Live, Bordicott works to a general conceptual framework, but follows no strict timeline or rules.
The live set was initially meant for Andy (Cities Prepare For Attack!) Cooke's Freak Revival Night, but on the night it didn't happen due to technical issues - we ran out of time!
Max kindly stepped in and provided a live slot at his excellent and eclectic Interzone night.
